This blog is a collaboration between two art journalists. We have a list of weekly topics that we use to artfully create a page that describes what it means to us. Carla Dixon and Shelly Sazama are the two artists in this collaboration. We use mixed media art, including collage, paints, gelli printing, sewing, etc. Anything goes.

Labels, Labels and More Labels
This weeks topic was Labels. I covered my background with labels, then stenciled the girls onto the page. The labels gave some interesting designs to the clothing.

Try, Try Again
This weeks topic was try, try again. I had fun putting this page together. The girl is from a Teesha Moore collage sheet and the frog instruction, on how to catch a flying insect, was in my collection of collage scraps.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again.

List of Me
This week's topic is 'List of Me'. I went to the monthly, used rubber, sale at Art and Soul and bought the stamp on the bottom right. I nearly put it back, glad I didn't. My writing on this page is all about me. The circles were stenciled, then I used several crayons to draw around them. The wine glass is a rubber stamp.

Making Decisions
On this page I wrote some motivatonal quotes about making decisions. I think the one that says it all is "Where there is no decision there is no life". We are making decisions at the start of each day and all day. Easy for a retired person.

Chance
My page is about all things to do with taking a chance.
Some of the materials used to embellish the page are the packing tape with games printed on it, girl from Teesha Moores collage sheets, a payout stub from a casino, more decorative tapes and fabric.

A Wonderful World
The topic this week is "A Wonderful World". I dcided to tie this topic in with a workshop from "21 Secrets 2013". The name of this workshop was "Doodling Our Way" by Cathy Bluteau. This page reflects the things I love about our wonderful world. The flowers, birds, colors, etc.

How to be miserable at Journaling
This post was about how to be miserable at journaling. I don't think I could be unless there was nothing available to journal on or with. This week I was troubled with a situation that occurred with some of my very closest friends. I just couldn't seem to get past it until I got out my glue and paints and started working on this page. Now I'm okay,
I used some deli paper on this page. It was in my stash, a page that I had used to make a rubbing with circles, red circles. I really like the look of the journaling inside the circles.
